IV spikes and expiry week - the usual suspects?

Seeing a lot of chatter about IV spikes heading into expiry week, and honestly, it's no surprise. This time of year always seems to crank up the volatility. Are you guys adjusting your strategies to account for this, or just riding it out? I'm personally looking at tighter stops on my short positions.
